Es una hoja de cemento. Está elaborada con malla de fibra de vidrio y cemento con compuestos químicos que sirven para aumentar su resistencia; tanto al peso, como a la humedad y a la temperatura.
¿Cuáles son las principales ventajas?
Al contar con diferentes tamaños, el Durock puede ser una base ideal para revestimientos finos, pues da como resultado muros resistentes y con capacidad de proteger el fuego. La resistencia y durabilidad del panel de cemento Durock, cuenta con ventajas poco comunes para muros en áreas de tránsito intenso o propensos al maltrato.
Principales beneficios:
– Resistente al agua para áreas muy húmedas
– Uso en interiores y exteriores
– No se deteriora, pudre, tuerce, deslamina ni desintegra al contacto prolongado con el agua
– Reduce tiempos de instalación
Algunas desventajas:
– Puede reducir un poco la estructura de la pared
– El peso es mayor al de una placa de yeso, lo que la hace más difícil de maniobrar
– Es más costosa que la Tablarroca
